The American Cancer Society’s inaugural West Michigan Select is a highly- exclusive tournament that raises funds for the mission to end cancer, as we know it, for everyone. This event offers a rare chance to experience the unparalleled beauty and challenge of one of Michigan’s most coveted golf courses while making your local impact by ensuring everyone has a fair and just opportunity to prevent, find, treat, and survive a cancer diagnosis.
We know that cancer touches everyone. As steady champions of the American Cancer Society,
we have previously supported their mission by chairing the premier West Michigan Taste of Hope gala, volunteering for grassroots community events, and contributing to the West Michigan Volunteer Leadership Council. As Co-Chairs of the West Michigan Select, it is essential that this event made a local impact. We’re excited to share all contributions made during our mission paddle raise will directly support the Michigan Cancer Research Fund. Which invests in Michigan cancer researchers and their innovative and life-saving projects, including three researchers currently in Grand Rapids.
We invite you to support our efforts by joining us on September 23, 2024, at the Wuskowhan Players Club for a chance to play at the private golf club unlike any other and help us end cancer once and for all. Enclosed, you will find our comprehensive sponsorship package, detailing the various sponsorship levels. Sponsorship will enable you to connect with other organizations in West Michigan in new and meaningful ways. Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a lasting impact on the fight against cancer and support our local Michigan community.
We hope to see you on the course!

As the only organization combating cancer through advocacy, discovery, and patient support, the American Cancer Society has made significant contributions to the fight against cancer over the last 110 years. We advocate for lifesaving policy changes, promote healthy lifestyles to help prevent cancer, and provide information, answers, and support to people in every community who have been touched by cancer. We also research cancer and its causes to find more answers and better treatment.
Yet, there is still work to be done – which is why we are so glad you have joined us tonight! The American Cancer Society continues to work tirelessly to fund research and provide support for all types of cancer. And thanks to your generous support, we work to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
Every cancer. Every life.
